Portmarnock Guttering
Portmarnock Guttering
Who we are
Portmarnock, County Dublin. That’s where we’re based, and it’s the ground we know best. We cover the whole north Dublin coastal stretch, from Malahide down through Clontarf and across to the city side. If you’re near the Clontarf fire station or beyond, we’ll get to you.
What do we actually do?
Everything on the roofline, from the gutters themselves right down to the fascia and soffit boards behind them. We work in uPVC, cast iron, and aluminium seamless. Here’s a rough picture of the work we take on:
- New gutter installation and full replacements
- uPVC and aluminium gutters, half-round, ogee, and square-line profiles
- Downpipe repair, replacement, and hopper heads
- Soffit and fascia board replacement in uPVC
- Leaf guards and gutter mesh fitting
- Rainwater diverters and water butt connections
- Cast iron gutter restoration on older properties
One thing we see constantly on older Dublin red-bricks: the downpipe back plate masonry fixing has worked loose over years of frost and expansion, and the pipe pulls away from the wall. It looks grand from the street until water starts tracking behind it. We fix that properly, not just clip it back.
Can you work in bad weather or winter?
Honestly, yes, most of the time. Light rain doesn’t stop us. We won’t work on ladders in high wind or ice, that’s just common sense. January and February are actually good months for us. Gutters are under pressure in winter and that’s when problems show up. We’d rather fix it when it’s cold than have you waiting until spring with water coming in over the fascia.
How do we price the work?
We come out, have a look, and give you a straight price. No call-out charge. We tell you what needs doing and what doesn’t. Sure look, we’re not going to make work where there isn’t any.
